Barret Albritton is an experienced construction litigation and liability defense attorney with more than 20 years of experience representing businesses, large self-insured organizations, insurance carriers, and employers. His practice encompasses construction defect and contractor liability matters, transportation and trucking liability, general liability and casualty defense, professional liability, workers’ compensation, and employment and workplace-related issues.
An experienced trial lawyer, Barret handles matters from initial response and investigation through resolution, representing clients in state and federal courts across Tennessee and the southeastern United States. His construction-related practice includes the defense of construction defect and contractor liability claims, alongside experience advising on risk management. He has also presented on the critical first ninety days of a catastrophic construction defect claim, reflecting his involvement with the early investigation and management of significant construction matters.
A substantial portion of Barret’s broader litigation practice involves defending motor carriers, owner-operators, and logistics companies in high-exposure transportation cases. He has extensive experience with claims involving tractor-trailers, delivery fleets, and interstate carriers, including catastrophic injury and wrongful death litigation arising from commercial vehicle accidents. He also counsels trucking clients on risk management and strategies intended to minimize exposure and avoid costly disputes.
Barret additionally defends professional negligence claims involving legal malpractice, engineering liability, and home inspector liability.
