Seth Mills is President and Chairman of Mills Law Group. His practice is focused in the areas of complex commercial litigation, including construction, fidelity, and surety matters. He has been previously named as Tampa’s Construction Lawyer of the Year, repeatedly named in Florida Trend magazine’s Florida Legal Elite, as a Super Lawyer and in America’s Best Lawyer’s listings.

He received his B.A. from The Citadel in 1979 and his J.D. from the University of Florida in 1981. He graduated from the U.S. Army’s Judge Advocate General’s School, with honors, in 1982. Thereafter he served as the Chief Trial Counsel at Fort Carson, Colorado, gaining substantial trial experience during his tenure with the military.

Mr. Mills is also Board Certified by the Florida Bar in Business Litigation. He has served in various leadership capacities in the American Bar Association, including as a Past Chairman of its Fidelity and Surety Law Committee. He is a Fellow of the American Bar Association and of its Young Lawyers’ Division, where he served as Florida’s Young Lawyer Representative to its House of Delegates for several years. He is also a founding member of the Gulfcoast Fidelity and Surety Institute, as well as a member of the Surety Claims Institute and National Bond Claims Association.

He has written and spoken extensively on fidelity, surety, construction and other complex commercial litigation topics.
