Larry Roedel is a Founding Shareholder of Roedel Parsons Blache Fontana Piontek & Pisano and a highly experienced Louisiana litigator whose practice has, for approximately four decades, combined general litigation with substantial work on public-private partnerships and major public construction projects. His experience includes some of Louisiana’s most prominent public developments, including the post-Katrina reconstruction of the Superdome and the new North Terminal at Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport.
Larry serves as General Counsel to the Louisiana Stadium & Exposition District, whose facilities include the Superdome, Smoothie King Center, Shrine on Airline, and related properties. In this role, Larry has skilfully guided his clients through multiple complex renovation and construction projects and countless construction disputes. Larry has successfully defended his clients’ requests for proposals processes on several multi-million-dollar projects.
He has also led project management teams for the State of Louisiana and serves as General Counsel to the Capital Area Road and Bridge District. Through these roles, his construction practice has combined legal counsel with direct involvement in the management and delivery of substantial public projects and infrastructure initiatives. Alongside his construction and public-project work, Larry maintains a broad litigation practice.
Larry has been recognized in The Best Lawyers in America for Civil Litigation and holds an AV rating from Martindale-Hubbell. Larry has also been included in Super Lawyers since 2022 in the practice areas of Civil Litigation, Business Litigation, and Construction Litigation. His broader public and community involvement has included serving The Dunham School as a Trustee and General Counsel and acting in an advisory capacity to Louisiana Governors.
Larry earned his J.D. from the Louisiana State University Law Center in 1977, where his Honors included membership in Phi Kappa Phi, Omicron Delta Kappa, and the Order of the Coif. He previously earned his B.S. in Business Administration from Louisiana State University in 1973. He has been admitted to practice in Louisiana before the U.S. District Courts in the State and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.
