Jeremy Brummond is a nationally recognized construction lawyer who represents clients across the building and design industries in complex litigation, dispute resolution, and contract matters. As Practice Group Leader of the Construction Law Practice Group within Lewis Rice’s Litigation Department, he advises property owners, design professionals, general contractors, specialty contractors, equipment suppliers, and material suppliers on significant construction projects and disputes.
Jeremy’s construction practice encompasses both contentious and transactional matters. He regularly drafts and negotiates construction and design contracts, helping clients address contractual obligations and project risks before disputes arise. When conflicts develop, he represents clients in matters involving construction and design defects, project delays and lost productivity, mechanic’s liens, payment bonds, and other complex construction-related claims.
While design and construction matters are the primary focus of his practice, Jeremy also represents businesses in a broader range of commercial litigation. His experience across both contract negotiation and litigation provides him with insight into issues arising throughout the lifecycle of construction projects and enables him to advise clients with an understanding of both immediate disputes and their wider commercial implications.
Jeremy is deeply involved in the construction law profession. He serves on the Governing Committee of the American Bar Association’s Forum on Construction Law, is a member of the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis’s Construction Law Committee, and serves as a panel arbitrator with the American Arbitration Association.
